Initié en 2005 par Pierre Hermé, vice-président de l’association Relais Desserts, le Jour du Macaron célèbre sa 13ème édition ce mardi 20 mars 2018. Comme chaque année les pâtissiers de l’association Relais Desserts, qui rassemble l’élite de la haute pâtisserie française, vont se mobiliser partout en France au profit de l’association  » Vaincre la Mucovicidose « .

Like every year the pastry chefs of the association Relais Desserts, which brings together the elite of the high French pastry, will mobilize everywhere in France for the benefit of the association « Overcome the Mucovicidose ».

Cette année, le Jour du Macaron, un événement initié par Pierre Hermé et qui rassemble désormais tous les pâtissiers de l’association Relais Desserts, en France et à travers le monde, se mobilise à nouveau en faveur de la lutte contre la mucoviscidose, alliant plaisir et solidarité dédiée à une gourmandise mondialement connue et 100% française.
Les pâtissiers Relais Desserts (plus de 100 boutiques mobilisées pour cette manifestation !) proposeront une dégustation de macarons invitant tous les gourmands solidaires à faire un don au profit de l’association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose.

Une opération de sensibilisation de l’opinion publique tout en douceur autour du combat mené contre cette maladie génétique.

Le 20 mars est ainsi devenue une date incontournable durant laquelle la Maison Pierre Hermé Paris et les membres Relais Desserts donnent rendez-­vous aux gourmands et gourmets dans leurs boutiques.
Sensibilisés par les bénévoles de Vaincre la Mucoviscidose, présents dans chaque boutique, les clients sont invités à faire un don en faveur de l’association, en échange duquel ils se verront offrir le macaron de leur choix (des plus classiques Chocolat, Vanille ou Framboise aux créatifs Mûre, Yuzu ou Pétales de rose parmi tant d’autres)

Le principe est simple, la cause est noble : 1 don, 1 macaron offert !

Chez Pierre Hermé, une vingtaine d’exquises saveurs seront à déguster dont, entre autres, des macarons Rose, Jasmin et Menthe Fraîche du côté de la collection Infiniment ou, du côté des Signatures, Ispahan, Réglisse et Violette ou encore Jardin de l’Atlas, nouveau parfum au citron, miel et fleur d’oranger.

Vincent Guerlais, à Nantes, fera la part belle à la gagnante du fameux Concours Macaron Amateur de Nantes qu’il a créé, en produisant le macaron citron-basilic-cœur cassis qui lui a valu de gagner.

Quant à Jean-Paul Hévin, son tout nouveau macaron « Annam » séduira par une ganache chocolat noir, cacao Grand Cru du Vietnam. Un chocolat acidulé aux notes de fruits jaunes.

Plusieurs centaines de bénévoles de l’association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose seront mobilisés pour l’occasion ainsi que la plupart des pâtissiers Relais Desserts qui œuvreront avec générosité dans quelques 175 boutiques en France et à l’étranger… comme à Calgary (Canada), chez Yann Blanchard, mais aussi en Belgique, au Japon et au Luxembourg.

En 2017, 50.000€ ont été collectés grâce à la solidarité gourmande de plus de 300 bénévoles en boutiques et des pâtissiers Relais Desserts engagés. Des dons répartis par l’association dans ses missions prioritaires : guérir en soutenant les programmes de recherche, soigner, améliorer la qualité de vie, informer et sensibiliser, en vue de vaincre, un jour, la mucoviscidose.

The Macaroon Day 2018

Like every year the pastry chefs of the association Relais Desserts, which brings together the elite of the high French pastry, will mobilize everywhere in France for the benefit of the association « Overcome the Mucovicidose ».

This year, the Macaron Day, an event initiated by Pierre Hermé and which now brings together all the pastry chefs of the Relais Desserts association, in France and around the world, is mobilized again in favor of the fight against cystic fibrosis, combining pleasure and solidarity dedicated to a greedy world famous and 100% French.
The pastry chefs Relais Desserts (more than 100 shops mobilized for this event!) Will propose a tasting of macaroons inviting all the food lovers to make a donation to benefit the association Defeat Mucoviscidose.

An operation to raise awareness of public opinion gently around the fight against this genetic disease.

The 20th of March has thus become an essential date during which the Maison Pierre Hermé Paris and Relais Desserts members give rendezvous to gourmands and gourmets in their shops.
Sensitized by the volunteers of Vaincre Mucoviscidose, present in each shop, customers are invited to donate to the association, in exchange for which they will be offered the macaron of their choice (the most classic chocolate, vanilla or raspberry to the creations Mature, Yuzu or Rose petals among others)

The principle is simple, the cause is noble: 1 donation, 1 free macaroon !

At Pierre Hermé, some twenty exquisite flavors will be enjoyed including, among others, macaroons Rose, Jasmine and Fresh Mint on the side of the collection Infiniment or, on the side of Signatures, Isfahan, Liquorice and Violet or Garden of the Atlas, new fragrance with lemon, honey and orange blossom.

Vincent Guerlais, in Nantes, will give pride of place to the winner of the famous Macaron Amateur Contest of Nantes that he has created, producing the lemon-basil-blackcurrant macaroon.

As for Jean-Paul Hévin, his brand new « Annam » macaroon will seduce with a dark chocolate ganache, Grand Cru cocoa from Vietnam. An acidulous chocolate with notes of yellow fruits.

Several hundred volunteers of the association Defeat the Cystic Fibrosis will be mobilized for the occasion as well as most pastry chefs Relais Desserts who will work with generosity in some 175 shops in France and abroad … as in Calgary (Canada), at Yann’s place Blanchard, but also in Belgium, Japan and Luxembourg.
